Lida van Straaten, born in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Started out as a enthousiastic hairstylist at an early age. After 13 years of being absolutely passionate about hairdressing, made side-steps into make-up and body-art.

Develloped herself hands-on in theatre-productions, like 'The Phantom Of The Opera', 'Miss Saigon' and in several operas.

With her participation in the feature-film 'The Polish Bride' (1998), she made an entrance into television and film, took a bold step to become a free-lancer and securing her place among the small band of make-up artists in The Netherlands.

Soon her talent was recognised by people like photographer Erwin Olaf and several film- and tv-producers. By this time her activities spanned photoshoots, videoclips, and movie- and television-productions.

Her creative drive is combined with making crazy wigs and wings from her own designs, widely considered essential props for off-the-wall-photoshoots and dito video-clips.
